I was sitting on a lanai in Kona, Hawaii, watching the Pacific do its quiet work. This was the start of a chapter that spanned from 2010 to 2016, a period where I ran my Yoga Healing Retreats and learned the lesson that would change everything.
Sell it before you build it.
That is the secret, Hermosa. Not build it and pray. Not perfect it and hope. Sell it first. Because the sale is the validation. The sale is the market whispering back, "Sí, this is what we want."
Here is what I mean. You do not need money to make money. You need clarity. You need to know exactly who you are serving and what pain you are solving.
Then you open your mouth, you ask for the sale, and the money follows the conviction. Siempre.
I spent years doing it backwards. Building the website. Polishing the offer. Waiting for the day I would finally feel ready.
Ready never came. Ready is a mirage, mija. What came was burnout and a bank account that did not reflect my worth.
The shift happened in Kona. I sat in a circle of women entrepreneurs and realized something uncomfortable: the only thing standing between me and my income was my self-worth.
I was treating my value like something to be earned instead of something to be claimed. Como si tuviera que pedir permiso.
So I built a shield. A self-worth shield. Every time doubt whispered, "¿Quién te crees que eres?" the shield went up. I am the woman who sells before she builds. I am the woman who charges her worth.
Y tú también, Hermosa. You are the same woman. You just have not said it out loud yet.
Say it with me: I do not need money to make money. I need the courage to ask.
Vende antes de construir. Sell it before you build it.
Then watch what happens when the market meets your conviction.
Tell me in the comments: what are you ready to sell this week?
