Here’s a confession: I am actually a kick-ass saleswoman. Not because I know all the slick strategies or because I can “close” someone with clever words. No. It’s because I only share what I’ve personally tried and believe in.

That’s my rule: if it hasn’t impacted me, I won’t recommend it. Period.

And that authenticity is what makes people trust me. They know I walk my talk. They know I lead as a servant leader, with corazón at the center of everything I do.

Respect and Humility Go a Long Way

Growing up, I was taught to be humble and to always respect what others are saying. My abuelita drilled into me, “Mija, escucha más de lo que hablas.”

That lesson shaped my entire business philosophy. Sales isn’t about talking louder or forcing someone to see things your way. It’s about listening first.

When you really hear your clients—when you understand their fears, their dreams, their struggles—you don’t need to “sell.” You simply offer solutions that speak directly to what they already need.

Here’s the mindset shift that changed everything for me: selling isn’t about selling—it’s about serving.

Think about it. You recommend your favorite café to your comadre. You tell your cousin about that amazing skincare cream that made your skin glow. That’s selling. The difference is, it didn’t feel like sales, because it came from love and genuine experience.

When you approach your business with that same energy, sales stop being stressful. They become natural, authentic, and aligned with your purpose.
