I Was Born with a Sixth Sense... Here’s What I’ve Never Told You

From the outside, I may look like just another Latina entrepreneur, juggling digital platforms, leading coaching programs, and creating multiple income streams. But the truth is, beneath the strategy, systems, and success stories… there’s something much deeper guiding me.

I was born with a sixth sense.
A gift that, for many years, I tried to hide.

Ever since I was a child, I could feel things others couldn’t. I sensed people’s energy before they spoke. I knew when something was going to happen—sometimes even dreaming it in vivid detail. I could walk into a room and feel the unspoken emotions floating in the air like smoke. It was heavy. It was strange. And yes—it was terrifying.

When you’re young and you realize that your mind can “see” things that others can’t, your first reaction isn’t awe. It’s fear. And that fear followed me well into adulthood.

I buried it.
I earned degrees, built a career in education, and eventually transitioned into entrepreneurship. I surrounded myself with strategy and structure to avoid having to explain something I couldn’t put into words.

But there was one person who saw me. Who understood.

Mi abuela—my father’s mother—was a curandera. A traditional healer. A woman of plants, prayers, and profound wisdom. She recognized my gift instantly. She sat me down, looked into my eyes, and said, “Mija, don’t be afraid. What you have is a regalo. It’s not something to hide. It’s something to honor.”

From her, I learned grounding practices. I learned how to hold space for energy, not be overwhelmed by it. And most importantly, I learned that this gift was not for show—it was for service.

Still, even today, I don’t tell people that I see auras. Because the moment I do, they want a reading. They want to be “seen.” And I get it—it’s exciting. But for me, this isn’t a performance. It’s not a party trick.

When I do say yes to reading someone, it’s because something in me says, this is needed. And when I give in to those moments, I’m 90% spot on—at least that’s what people tell me. But it’s sacred work. I don’t offer it lightly.

Over time, I stopped hiding. Especially after surviving cancer—twice. When you face your mortality, the masks fall away. I knew that to fully live, I had to fully embrace who I am.

And who I am… is someone who leads with intuition. Who listens deeply. Who senses the pain behind the smile. Who chooses to lead not with ego, but with empathy.

That’s why I became a servant leader.

My businesses—whether it’s Latina Biz Coaching, Rock Your Biz Academy, or my yoga retreats—are all rooted in one thing: service. Yes, I teach strategy. Yes, I guide women in building six-figure digital businesses. But what I really do is help them trust their inner knowing. I help them come home to themselves.

Because I know what it’s like to live disconnected from your truth.
And I know what happens when you finally decide to honor it.

My sixth sense isn’t separate from my success. It is the reason I’ve built a legacy. It’s why I can feel what my clients need before they say it. It’s why I can create content that resonates so deeply, people cry when they read it. It’s why I’ve become the mentor that I needed years ago.
