There’s a powerful truth I’ve discovered on my entrepreneurial journey: you don’t have to do this alone. For so many MujerPreneurs, the path to success feels isolating. We juggle culture, language, responsibilities, and legacy—often without a guide.
But what if I told you that one of the biggest secrets to unlocking growth is finding the right mentor and immersing yourself in the right community?
When I first started out, I thought being strong meant doing everything on my own. But I was spinning my wheels.
My business only began to grow when I opened myself up to mentorship and started saying “yes” to aligned entrepreneurial networks. Check it out here.
Why Mentors Matter So Much
A mentor isn’t just someone who gives advice. A great mentor sees your potential before you do. They help you shortcut years of trial and error. They offer mindset shifts, not just strategies.
I remember my first real mentor—she told me, “Marti, you are not too much. You’re just not in the right room yet.” That one sentence cracked open a belief I didn’t even know was limiting me.
Since then, I’ve mentored dozens of MujerPreneurs and I’ve seen the power of this relationship time and time again. It’s not about someone being “above” you. It’s about someone walking a few steps ahead of you, reaching back with a flashlight and a hand.
The Power of Entrepreneurial Networks
You become who you surround yourself with.
Being part of an entrepreneurial network changed the game for me. When you step into a space where others speak your language—of growth, of visibility, of multiple income streams—you shift faster.
For Latina entrepreneurs especially, community isn’t optional—it’s our root system. We thrive in circles where we feel seen. In the right group, you won’t just find opportunities—you’ll be reminded of your worth every single day.
And these communities aren’t just for “getting” help. They’re for giving too. Every time I pour into my network, I grow. I learn. I feel ignited again.
How to Find the Right Mentor and Network
Here are three things to look for:
Shared Values – Does the mentor or group align with your vision and principles? For me, that includes integrity, culture, and heart-centered business.
Safe Growth – Do you feel psychologically safe to ask questions, be vulnerable, and share wins?
Results, not Noise – Look for mentorship that leads to actual transformation, not just “busy work” or endless content consumption.
Let me be real: not every space is meant for you. I’ve joined groups that made me shrink instead of expand. But once I found the right ones? Game. On.
And one more thing: you are also a mentor in the making. As you grow, someone is watching you, learning from your bravery. Don’t forget the power of reaching back and offering your light.
You Are Not Alone, Mujer hermosa!
If today you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, or like no one understands your entrepreneurial dreams—breathe. You’re exactly where you need to be. Now it’s time to make one aligned decision: to plug in.
Say yes to mentorship.
Say yes to a community that feeds your fire.
Say yes to YOU.
