There’s something I say all the time to my MujerPreneurs:
“Before you coach anyone else, you’ve got to learn to coach yourself.”

And guess what one of the most powerful tools in self-coaching is?
Listening.
Check out the resource I made for you here!

But not just listening to others—listening to yourself. Your gut. Your thoughts. Your energy. And, just as importantly, listening to the people you serve.

When I finally understood this, it shifted everything. I realized that in order to become the servant leader I’m called to be, I had to lead from a place of stillness, of presence. And that starts by turning down the noise and tuning into what matters.

Listening = Power, Presence, and Purpose

Let’s be real—being a business owner today means your brain is always spinning. Content calendars, email funnels, coaching calls, course launches... it's a lot.

But if you’re not careful, the noise of “doing” can drown out the voice of what’s truly needed—both in your life and your business. That’s where listening becomes your superpower.

When you listen with intention:

  • You hear the unspoken fears of your ideal client.

  • You notice what your body is trying to tell you (burnout, sis!).

  • You uncover new opportunities in everyday conversations.

That’s what being a self-coached CEO and a servant leader is all about. It’s not just what you say—it’s how deeply you listen.

🧘‍♀️ My 3-Step CEO Listening Practice

Want to start flexing this superpower? Here’s a simple practice I use weekly:

1. Pause and Center Yourself

Before any Zoom, message, or meeting—close your eyes and breathe. Say: “I am here to listen, not fix.”

2. Repeat and Reflect

Mirror what the other person says back to them. It could be as simple as:
“It sounds like you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the tech?”
Doing this builds trust and clarity.

3. Journal Your Wins

After a call or convo, take 2 minutes to jot down what you really heard. What patterns are showing up? What’s your intuition saying? This is where your self-coaching grows.

How This Makes You a Better Leader

When you lead from a place of deep listening, you stop chasing results and start attracting alignment. You begin to see clearly what your clients need, how your offers can shift, and what’s ready to be released from your plate.

Being a servant leader means showing up for others—but never at the cost of tuning out yourself. It means building a legacy that listens, heals, and leads con amor y claridad.
